The Legend of TALO

Long ago, on the sun-warmed slopes of Mt. Boucherie, there lived a brilliant but eccentric Finnish architect known only as TALO. TALO had wandered far and wide, searching for the perfect landscape — a place where stone, wood, water, and sky could come together in harmony. When he arrived at the land now known as Takyla, nestled among vineyards with sweeping views of the lake and mountains, he knew he had found sacred ground.

Here, TALO poured his soul into two architectural masterpieces:

• The bold, fire-hearted TAKAS — grand, luminous, and full of strength.

• The quiet, inward-facing Etsin — warm, peaceful, and built for rest.

But even in his creations, something was missing.

 

Then came Treats — a woman of Finnish heritage, like TALO, but with a different kind of vision. Where TALO saw design, Treats saw connection. Where TALO built walls, Treats opened doors. Her presence brought harmony, her love brought life.

Together, they crafted El-Spa — a space of fire and water, inspired by the ancient Finnish sauna cycle: heat, cold, and rest. A space to reset the body and clear the mind. A place to begin again.

 

With Treats’ love and encouragement, TALO shared his sanctuary with the world. The land of Takyla was no longer just a masterpiece — it became a living retreat for all who seek balance, stillness, and beauty.

Now, the story of TALO Retreats continues. Guests journey here not just for views or design, but to feel what TALO and Treats built together — a rhythm, a refuge, a return to what matters.

Some say if you listen closely in the sauna, you can still hear the sound of Treats’ laughter in the steam — and TALO’s quiet gratitude carried on the wind.
