Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Talo Retreats. By booking and staying in any of our vacation rentals, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are designed to ensure a respectful, safe, and enjoyable experience for all guests, our neighbours, and the community.

 

1. Booking & Payment

​

  • A confirmed booking is secured once payment is received in full unless otherwise stated.

  • Rates are subject to change prior to confirmation.

  • Age restrictions may apply if required by provincial or municipal regulations.

  • All bookings are managed directly by the property owner. Talo Retreats provides hospitality coordination only.
     

 

2. Cleaning Fees

​

  • A mandatory cleaning fee applies to all bookings. This amount is listed on the property’s listing or invoice.

  • Failure to pay the full cleaning fee may result in cancellation of the reservation.

  • In the event of cancellation due to unpaid cleaning fees, a full refund will be issued.
     

 

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Full Refund: Cancellations made at least 14 days prior to check-in.

  • No Refund: Cancellations made fewer than 14 days before check-in.

  • No refunds are issued for early departures, no-shows, or unused nights.

  • Bookings made through Airbnb, VRBO, or other platforms will follow the platform’s cancellation policy unless otherwise agreed upon directly with the owner.
     

 

4. Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in: After 3:00 PM

  • Check-out: By 11:00 AM

  • Early check-in/late check-out may be available with prior approval and additional fees.

  • Access instructions and confirmations may be provided by the Guest Coordinator, with owner approval.
     

 

5. Guest Conduct

Guests are expected to treat the property with care. The following rules apply:

  • No parties, events, or large gatherings without written approval

  • Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM

  • No smoking or vaping indoors

  • Only registered guests are allowed on the property unless approved

  • Damage, unauthorized use, or excessive cleaning will result in additional charges
     

 

6. Pets

  • Pets are not allowed unless specifically stated and approved in advance.

  • A pet fee and deposit may apply.

  • Unauthorized pets may result in eviction, forfeiture of payments, and added cleaning fees.
     

 

7. Damage & Security Deposit

  • A refundable security deposit may be required.

  • Any damage, missing items, or rule violations may result in deductions or additional charges.

  • Guests agree to cover any costs that exceed the deposit.
     

 

8. Liability Waiver

  • Guests stay at their own risk.

  • Talo Retreats and its representatives (including the Guest Experience Coordinator) are not liable for:

    • Accidents or injuries

    • Lost or stolen personal items

    • Service interruptions due to weather or outages

  • Use of amenities (hot tubs, lakes, pools, BBQs, etc.) is at your own risk.
     

 

9. Local Laws & Regulations

Guests must comply with:

  • West Kelowna Short-Term Rental Bylaws

  • Noise Control Regulations

  • Provincial STR and safety rules
    Violations may result in fines, cancellation of the stay, or legal action.
     

 

10. Communication & Hospitality Services

  • Guest communications (reminders, confirmations, and hospitality support) may be sent by a designated Guest Experience Coordinator with owner permission.

  • Any booking-related messaging, payments, or calendar management is the responsibility of the owner.

  • In case of scheduling conflicts or emergencies, the Guest Coordinator may assist on behalf of the owner.
     

 

11. Right to Refuse or Cancel

Talo Retreats and the property owner reserve the right to:

  • Refuse service

  • Cancel a reservation

  • Remove guests from the property
    Without refund, if these Terms & Conditions are violated.

El-Spa Terms & Conditions

By booking or using services at El-Spa, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are in place to ensure a respectful, safe, and enjoyable experience for all members and guests.

 

1. Booking & Payment

​

  • All spa sessions must be reserved in advance.

  • A deposit or full payment may be required to confirm your reservation.

  • Prices are subject to change prior to confirmation.
     

 

2. Cancellations & No-Shows

​

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid charges.

  • No-shows or same-day cancellations may result in the full session fee being charged.
     

 

3. Late Arrivals

​

  • Guests may arrive at any time within their reserved two-hour time slot.

  • Please contact us if you expect to be late.

  • All sessions will conclude at the end of the scheduled time slot, regardless of arrival time.

4. Health & Liability

​

  • While we do not currently offer physical treatments, guests should still use all amenities responsibly and at their own risk.

  • El-Spa is not responsible for any injury, allergic reaction, or health concern that may arise from the use of our facilities.
     

 

5. Membership Policy

​

  • El-Spa Memberships are billed monthly.

  • To avoid future charges, members must cancel before the last day of the current billing month.

  • Unused sessions do not carry over to the following month.

  • Membership benefits are non-transferable and non-refundable.
     

 

6. Right to Refuse Service

​

  • El-Spa reserves the right to refuse service to any guest who displays inappropriate behavior or appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
     

 

7. Use at Your Own Risk

​

  • All El-Spa facilities and amenities are used at the guest’s own risk.

  • El-Spa and its affiliates are not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage.
